Process

We recently had the opportunity to create a website for PhillySafe, a non-profit organization dedicated to crime deterrence in urban environments. Using Webflow as our design platform, we ensured that the site was not only visually appealing but also 100% responsive across various devices. Here's a detailed account of how our team approached the project:

  1. Defining Goals and Requirements: I started by meeting with PhillySafe's team to understand their objectives and requirements for the website. We discussed their target audience, desired features, and the content they wanted to showcase.
  2. Content Planning: Based on the discussions, I created a sitemap that outlined the website's structure and the flow of information. This helped me organize the different sections, such as the homepage, about page, programs, news, and contact. I also identified any additional pages needed to effectively communicate PhillySafe's mission.
  3. Responsive Design: One of the key aspects of the project was to ensure that the website was responsive across all devices. Using Webflow's responsive design capabilities, I meticulously adjusted the layout and styling for different breakpoints, including desktop, tablet, and mobile. I paid close attention to readability, proper alignment, and optimal user experience on each device.
  4. Development: With the design finalized, we started translating ideas into functional pages, setting up navigation menus, creating sections for content, and incorporating interactive elements such as forms and call-to-action buttons.
  5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Before launching the website, I conducted thorough testing to identify and resolve any issues. I checked for broken links, tested form submissions, and verified the consistency of design and layout across different browsers and devices. I also gathered feedback from PhillySafe's team to address any final tweaks or improvements.
